Playing KAFKA

A video game that allows players to meaningfully interact with the work and life of Franz Kafka. Through a combination of game mechanics and strong narrative, it introduces players to the symbolism and surrealism of Kafka's dream logic. At the same time, it allows for a reflection on Kafka's work in relation to today's world.

Playing Kafka is being developed in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut. The project was supported by the National Restoration Plan of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, funded by the European Union.

DigiStories: Alex

What to do if you see a friend struggling with digital addiction?

This game aims to guide students towards self-regulation and awareness of the benefits and risks of being online. The story of 13-year-old Alex and his friend Lea allows the pupils to talk about time spent in virtual space, digital addictions or even the influence of influencers.

The DigiStories: Alex video game is created by People in Need's One World Schools (JSNS) education programme and Charles Games. It is designed for use in the classroom for students aged 11-15.

Based on the success of this implementation, it is planned to be implemented in schools across the whole region. We collaborated with the Iraqi office of a Czech NGO People in Need on the development of the game.
